Cara L. Jakob, MD
Dr. Jakob is a board certified family physician. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Connecticut and earned her medical degree from the Drexel University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency training at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center. After moving to Clermont, Florida, Dr. Jakob opened Total Family Healthcare & Wellness Centers where she now practices as a family physician.
What makes Dr. Jakob’s practice unique is her approach to medicine. At Total Family Healthcare, disease prevention and patient quality of life are the cornerstones of her practice. She has incorporated vitamin testing, allergy testing and injections and natural hormone replacement therapy as part of her practice. Dr. Jakob also offers a
comprehensive weight loss program,
immigration physicals and Suboxone® and Vivitrol® treatments for
substance abuse.

Christine A. Murphy, MD
Dr. Murphy completed her undergraduate studies at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and went on to earn a Doctor of Pharmacy degree in 1982 and a Doctor of Medicine degree is 1986 from Creighton University School of Medicine. After working many years in different emergency departments around Central Florida, she joined Total Family Healthcare in 2009. She currently serves at our Metrowest location in Orlando.

Sanford L. Mark, DC
Dr. Mark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida and later earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida campus. He is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association, the International Chiropractic Association and the Florida Chiropractic Association.
He is proficient in the use of the Diversified and Thompson drop techniques, and has acquired training in lumbar flexion-distraction and activator methods, as well.
Dr. Mark’s approach to
chiropractic care is built upon the central idea that the prevention of certain conditions and diseases can be addressed by locating and adjusting musculoskeletal areas of the body that are not functioning at their full capacity. His treatments incorporate hands-on adjustments, instrument adjustments, nutritional supplement and dietary counseling, core-development home exercise programs, ergonomic analysis and modification, and physiotherapeutic modalities. Each treatment is dependent on the individual’s needs. Complementing these with necessary medical treatment can be the key to one’s ability to express his maximum health potential.
Dr. Mark’s focus is on providing family health and wellness care, and he is dedicated to providing each and every patient with personal quality care.

Deanna Cuevas, LMT
Deanna Cuevas is a graduate of Westside Technical Institute in Orlando, Florida. Prior to joining the wellness team at Total Family Healthcare in 2004, she enjoyed years of experience at the USA National Training Center in Clermont, which afforded her the opportunity to work with world-class athletes.
Deanna also provides massage therapy for individuals recovering from surgery, a sports injury or an auto accident as part of their rehabilitation, as well as those who need a massage for preventative reasons.
The massage services she offers include Swedish/relaxation, therapeutic massage, deep tissue, sports massage, reflexology, hot stone, and corporate chair massage. Therapeutic massage tends to be the most common therapy because it allows her to address an individual’s specific needs and provide an individual therapy plan for them.
According to Deanna, “I am very excited to be part of the Total Family Healthcare team. Working together with these professionals provides the community with a place to achieve Total Health and Wellness for the entire family.”
