Immigration Physicals

Dr. Cara Jakob of Total Family Healthcare & Wellness Centers in Clermont and Orlando, Florida is an approved United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) civil surgeon, green card specialist and official provider of the INS 693 medical examinations.

Who needs an immigration physical? If you are applying for U.S. citizenship or seeking to adjust your status for permanent residency (Green Card), you will need an immigration physical, which can only be performed by an approved USCIS civil surgeon.

Immigration medical exams are performed to verify that you are in good health and admissible to become a United States citizen. During the exam, Dr. Jakob will provide a physical exam and determine if you need any medical care and any necessary vaccinations after you immigrate to the U.S. or adjust your status to become a permanent resident.


What happens after the medical exam? Our office will complete Form I-693 for you and the results will be sealed in an envelope that you give to USCIS. You should not open the sealed envelope unless instructed by USCIS.
